ZFS and DTrace on Ubuntu Linux

I know what I'll be doing this weekend...

"So, I had heard about ZFS and DTrace running on Linux. People have been working on them for years. Basically, since the time the technologies came out on Solaris. So, I decided to follow up on these ports and see what could be done. Luckily, I had great success in getting both to run on an Ubuntu server of mine. dedicated to the loving memory of my grandfather, jerome templeton smith, hard at work bringing southern bell long-distance telephone service to the state of tennesee. in late 1979, he fell terminally ill with brain cancer, and the doctors did not expect him to live longer than six weeks. around the same time, my mother learned that she was pregnant with me. against all odds, this man found the will to live more than six more months, wanting nothing more than to hold his baby grandson. sadly, he passed away shortly after i was born, so i never had the pleasure of knowing him. my mother tells me that he would be proud.
