The lab is growing...

So I happened to find myself with a bunch of old Linksys wireless routers lying around. I like to collect such things from friends and relatives after they've been "fried" in hopes of one day bringing them back to life and hacking them into something useful. We all know how that goes. These poor, forgotten toys spent most of the last few years gathering dust in my basement, longing for someone to play with them. Until now...

dedicated to the loving memory of my grandfather, jerome templeton smith, hard at work bringing southern bell long-distance telephone service to the state of tennesee. in late 1979, he fell terminally ill with brain cancer, and the doctors did not expect him to live longer than six weeks. around the same time, my mother learned that she was pregnant with me. against all odds, this man found the will to live more than six more months, wanting nothing more than to hold his baby grandson. sadly, he passed away shortly after i was born, so i never had the pleasure of knowing him. my mother tells me that he would be proud.
